RENOVATING your home can set you back tens of thousands of pounds.
But luckily one woman from the UK has revealed her three top money-saving tricks to keep costs down.
Sharn Rayment is currently in the process of renovating her London home and has shared the project on her TikTok account, Sharn’s House.
One video has gone viral with over 50k views, and Sharn revealed the three ways she has kept costs down in the process.
Her first tip was to make sure you check out eBay for household items.
She said: “Firstly, go to eBay for your radiators, it may sound very 2002, but eBay is a goldmine.”
She shows the radiators she got from there and explains: “We got these from a rich person’s house, for £70 each when they should have been £300 each.
She also bagged a giant matte black radiator for her dining room which was brand new from the site for just £150.

“Labour costs aren’t cheap, you’re paying around £150 to £200 per day depending on where you live for someone to strip wallpaper or old woodwork.
“That’s money that could be better placed in getting pros in for things you really can’t DIY.”
Sharn’s last tip is to make sure you compare ht price of every little thing.
Buying paint, sealant, and sandpaper can be costly, so she advises to shop around for the best price.
“A couple of pounds might not seem a lot, but when you’re renovating and buying things like this all the time, every penny counts.
“Always do your research before heading to the shops.”
Many people loved Sharn’s money-saving tips, one wrote: “thanks! we are at the beginning of our renovation journey.”
“Literally brilliant tips and couldn’t agree more,” agreed another user.
A third commented: “You are so right! It’s easy for the money to run away with itself & bargains are so satisfying! You’re doing a great job! Looks so good!”
